3 Things To Consider When Choosing A Car

1.       Set A Budget. Set a strict budget so that you won’t be swayed by the cars that my have that “wow” factor, but in reality you simply can’t afford. Your budget should not be based on monthly payments, but the total sale price of the car.  Then accept the highest payment you can afford when you finance it to minimize what you will be paying in interest. You may want to research  car prices online before heading out to dealerships so you know what makes and models fall within your budget.

2.       Know the gas mileage on the car.  Sometimes we only think about the cost of the car, but fuel efficiency is very important too. Think about your daily commute, road trips and errands.   These all add up and the better the fuel efficiency the more money you will keep in your wallet.  Add up your average weekly mileage and calculate how much you will spend on gas a week on various models you are interested in.

3.       Put safety at the top of your list.  Check your cars safety rating and weigh that factor heavily.  Not only can a safer car save your life in an accident, but it may also reduce your auto insurance rate.

Choosing a new car is a big decision and usually one we have to live with for years.  Make sure you choose wisely to ensure you are happy with your car and your savings account.  When you are ready to sell your old car, call us. We buy cars!! We will give you cash for you car.

Factors To Consider When Choosing Auto Insurance

There are so many factors to take into consideration when choosing an auto insurance company and proper coverage.  Here are some tips that may help you in your search for the right insurance company and coverage:

- Ask your friends and family for recommendations.  You can get helpful info from people you trust and are happy with their auto insurance. Ask them what they like most and least about the company and see if the "likes" match your specific needs.

- Know your budget before you start searching. You have to be able to afford whatever you choose. You never want your auto insurance to lapse in coverage.

- Understand the coverage they offer. Know the policies ins and outs including deductibles, premiums and discounts you may qualify for.  Be sure that you are taking on extras that you don't really need in your policy.

Financing Tips When Buying A New Car

You have to be prepared when you walk into a dealership to ensure you get the best deal and financing terms possible. Dealerships are in the business of making money, so make sure they make the least amount of money off you as possible.    Here are 4 tips that may help you when financing your new car:

1. Understand dealer interest and feel confident in asking the finance manager how much of the rate your are paying is dealer interest.

2. Know your credit score from all 3 bureaus. Don’t depend on the dealership to tell you your own credit worthiness.  If you have the time, fix any outstanding credit issues before attempting to finance your new car.

3. Be sure you need the extended warranty.  Carefully analyze the details of extended warranties the dealership is offering you. It may not be a valuable purchase depending the price and the coverage of the existing manufacturer’s warranty you may be entitled to.  Dealerships typically make a lot of money off of extended warranties.

4. Don’t finance unnecessary aftermarket add-ons like rustproofing, paint sealants, and alarm systems. Pay cash after the fact to add these features to your car.
